Travis Williams joins LIFT JAX as VP of Operations and Impact

Today, LIFT JAX, a nonprofit organization of business leaders working with residents and community partners to revitalize Jacksonville’s historic Eastside neighborhood, announced that Travis Williams will join its senior leadership team as Vice President of Operations and Impact. In this role, Williams will help ensure LIFT JAX delivers on the strategic priorities it identified in collaboration with Eastside leaders.

“We are thrilled to welcome Travis to LIFT JAX’s team of dedicated changemakers,” said David Garfunkel, president of LIFT JAX. “Travis was raised in and maintains deep ties to Jacksonville’s Eastside community. He brings to this role a decade of experience in both business and community relations primarily in areas such as economic development, urban revitalization, and services benefiting the less privileged – understanding and expertise that will advance the mission of LIFT JAX.”

Williams will collaborate with community partners and leaders to identify catalytic neighborhood revitalization strategies. He will identify and support partners in implementing these strategies, as well as managing project and program coordination with partners. Williams will also assess and share the story of LIFT JAX and its impact in the Eastside community.

An alumnus of the University of North Florida, Williams began his career in financial services where his practice was affiliated Northwestern Mutual’s Wealth Management Company, before bringing his business development acumen to serve both local and global nonprofits and the greater Jacksonville community. Prior to joining LIFT JAX, Williams previously served as the Senior Director of Communications for the Kids Hope Alliance.

He currently serves as the Co-chair of the Jax Chamber Lewis and White Business League Advisory Board. He also serves as a board member for local non-profits Rethreaded and The Clara White Mission.

Williams will officially join LIFT JAX on October 18 in its mission to bring a diverse group of residents, businesses, and community partners together to achieve a shared community vision of a more vibrant, thriving Eastside.
